Town Hall: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

The Sinclair Broadcast Group is hosting a Michigan-wide Town Hall regarding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. We will explore the causes, symptoms, who it effects and treatment. The Town Hall will be held at Milliken Auditorium on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College on Thursday, August 28th at 8pm. Be A Part Of Our Audience! Seats are first come, first serve. Doors open at 7pm. The 90 minute Town Hall will be streamed live on Upnorthlive.com and our Sinclair sister stations in Flint, Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids and Marquette.
Basics In Natural Horsemanship Class

PEACE Ranch is offering an 8 week class on Monday evenings for anyone regardless of experience interested in learning the basics of herd dynamics and equine communication. Students will learn how to communicate safely and effectively with horses through classroom learning and hands on activities with horses. All equipment and horses are provided. Class size is limited, must be 16 or older to participate

A Day Of Caring Project in collaboration with United Way and participating organizations, the Ezekiel Memorial Garden project will launch the development of an extensive therapeutic garden area including installation of sidewalks for wheelchair accessible gardens, arbors, a compost area and memorial center.
