Horsemanship Classes

This year, PEACE Ranch is offering a full Natural Horsemanship curriculum taught by local instructor Melissa Edingfield. Melissa has been an instructor for over 20 years and is known for her excellence in teaching natural equine communication methods.
The curriculum has something for everyone, from beginners to advanced handlers.  All classes will be on Monday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm. Class cost includes horses and equipments. Sadly, due to liability issues we cannot accomodate outside horses.  Sign up now, class size is limited and offered on a first come first serve basis.

Basics In Natural Horsemanship

Beginning April 3, 2017
Taught by Melissa Edingfield
Who: Anyone 16 or over
What: No horse experience necessary
When : Monday night for 6 weeks

Cost: $275
Basics In Natural Horsemanship is an entry level class for older teens and adults interested in learning about equine communication and herd dynamics. Sometimes called “Horse Whispering” this class explores art of conversation with horses using their language with a focus on building vocabulary. Register Here
 

Beyond Basics

Beginning May 22, 2017

Who: Anyone 16 or over
What: Must have completed Basics class or equivilant
When : Monday night for 5 weeks
Where: PEACE Ranch
Cost: $230
Beyond Basics is a novice class which will help students go to the next level in learning about equine communication and herd dynamics. This class will build and expand on Basics to improve their grasp on the art of conversation with horses using their language with a focus on improving listerning and communication skills. Register Here
 

Building Fluency

Beginning September 11, 2017

Who: Anyone 16 or older
What: Must be approved by instructor
When : Monday night for 8 weeks
Where: PEACE Ranch
Cost: $350
Building Fluency is an advanced class for students that are independent in their communication skills and desirous of going to another level. Class size will be small, all students will handle horses independantly to refine communication technique with a focus on developing fluency. Register Here
