Find peace on the ranch

Peace Ranch has several classes and events throughout the year, including Herd Meditation, Spring & Fall Farm Days, Natural Horsemanship Classes, and the Peace Ranch 5K/10K Wilderness Run. We hope you can join us on the ranch!

Upcoming Events:

    • Who: Anyone 16 or over

    • What: No horse experience necessary

    • When: April 7- May 19, 2025 (7 weeks), Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

    Basics In Natural Horsemanship is an entry-level class for older teens and adults interested in learning about equine communication and herd dynamics. Sometimes called “Horse Whispering,” this class explores art of conversation with horses using their language with a focus on building vocabulary.

    New board members are encouraged to take the class as it increases practical understanding about horse/human relationship which supports a clearer understanding of how therapy works.

  • What: A family friendly Volunteer Event at Peace Ranch. Children are welcome with a parent. Lunch is provided.

    • Prerequisite: Basics Class

    Beyond Basics is a novice class which will help students advance to the next level in learning about equine communication and herd dynamics. This class will build and expand on Basics to improve their grasp on the art of conversation with horses using their language with a focus on improving listening and communication skills.

  • When: September 20, 2025

    The 5K is like none other as it winds through hard packed sand roads through the beautiful Pere Marquette Forest. Our 10K has become a favorite of trail runners statewide and is known for its challenging topography and peaceful surroundings. Both runs supported by the Traverse City Track Club. Our family friendly space is perfect for hanging out during and after the race. Medal ceremony following the race.
